Need Advice for CAT 2007

I will be graduating in year 2007 and have just started my cat2007 preparation. I want to be in a good b school and ready to do any thing for that. I need proper guidance. Please answer few questions:- 1. I am planning to join a coaching center. Which one is the best? 2. I have heard that “To crack CAT you need to have a good reading speed” , How can I go about this ? 3. How much time should I spend on each day? 4. I am just planning to join a call center / is it going to adversely affect my chance in CAT ?

As it said many times before - it all depends upon your locality. You can join any of the top 5 - ims , time , cl , cf and pt . chk out the local centers and get the first hand experience on your own. In all india basis I think TIME 'll get few points ahead of the rest.(don’t forget to inform us your experiences) 2. yes a good reading habit is necessary (not a very fast reading ability , though that might be handy). Rather what is more important is better comprehensive skill. With number of questions reduced to 25 in EU section reading speed is no more that important. You have enough time to make things better for yourself. Start early. 3. There is no fix time limit; all depend on your level of knowledge in basic mathematics and English. 4. It might be , bcz once in job you might come across few more problems. You are yet to graduate. so i wld suggest to carry on with your studies and prepare for CAT...but if u think u can manage all these with a job then u can go ahead but i think it ll be tough

You should prioritize to have a good comprehensive skill rather than speed. Speed comes with time but if u emphasize on that, it will take you no where..

Thanks for your suggestions.. but what do you mean by the word “good comprehensive ability” – understanding what you read or anything else
